Stevie WonderStevland Hardaway Morris (ne Judkins; May 13 1950) who is professionally referred to as Stevie Wonder, is an American singer-songwriter, who is recognized as an influencer and pioneer by musicians across a range of genres including rhythm and blues, pop, soul, gospel, funk, and jazz. Wonder, who was a solo artist utilized synthesizers in the production of electronic music during the 1970s. The result was a revolution in the R&B genre. The musician also contributed to bringing these styles into the album age, crafting his LPs as unison and consistent, in addition to expressive and socially conscious compositions. Wonder, who was blind at the time of his birth, was signed on Motown's Tamla label when he was just 11. The label gave him the professional title Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's success on the critical scene was at its peak during the 1970s. The singer's "classic period" began in 1972 with the releases of Music of My Mind and Talking Book, the latter with "Superstition" and is one of the most unique and famous examples of the sound produced by the Hohner Clavinet keyboard. The albums Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingness' First Finale (1974) as well as Songs in the Key of Life (1976) all received the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. He is the holder of the tie-record for the most albums of the Year wins, with three. He is also the only artist to win the award on three consecutive albums. Wonder's "commercial period" began in the early 1980s. He had his greatest songs and most famed and increased album sales. He also had charities, and prominent collaborations.
